Neon Drift Circuit

★★★★★ 4.5 Editor rating

Neon Drift Circuit doesn't pretend to be a simulator. It's an arcade racer, and a joyful one. Every corner is an invitation to drift, and the game rewards you for holding a slide as long as you dare. The neon-soaked tracks are gorgeous and never got old across dozens of runs.

Tilt steering worked better than I expected, but I switched to on-screen buttons for the tighter tracks and never looked back. The settings menu lets you tweak steering sensitivity, which fixed my early complaints in about a minute. That kind of option should be standard everywhere.

Sessions are short by design, so it's perfect for quick play. Just watch the battery — the constant particle effects made my phone warm after half an hour. Dropping the graphics one notch fixed the heat without ruining the look.
