Casinacho
Casinacho surprised me. On the surface it looks like another colourful casual game, but the loop is smarter than the art style suggests. You clear boards by grouping matching tiles, and every cleared board slowly rebuilds a small town square — a fountain here, a bench there. The reward isn't points, it's watching the place fill up.
Controls are pure one-thumb stuff, which is exactly right for a game you play in short bursts. Tiles respond instantly to taps, and there's a satisfying little snap when a group locks in. Nothing fights you. I played most of it on a bus and never fumbled a move.
The pacing is gentle without being boring. Levels introduce new tile types slowly, and a couple of the later boards genuinely made me stop and plan. Battery use was light in our testing, and the phone stayed cool even after long sessions. It's the kind of game you open for five minutes and close forty later.
