Hollowreach

Hollowreach is quiet and strange in the best way. You explore a set of flooded ruins, solving small environmental puzzles and piecing together what happened here mostly through what you see, not what you're told. It trusts you to pay attention, and that trust pays off.

Movement is a simple tap-to-go system with a swipe to look around, which keeps your hands out of the way of the beautiful scenery. I never once got lost thanks to subtle lighting cues that pull you toward the next area. Great design that never shouts about itself.

It's kind to your battery too, since the pace is slow and the scenes are static much of the time. Play it with headphones in a dark room — the sound design carries half the story.
