Harborline Express

★★★★☆ 4.2 Editor rating

Harborline Express is a cosy simulation where you build and run a small railway between coastal towns. There's a management layer — schedules, passenger demand, the occasional broken track — but it never turns stressful. It's the game equivalent of a warm drink.

The interface handles the tricky part well: dragging track and adjusting timetables on a phone screen could have been a nightmare, but snapping guides keep it painless. I did wish for a bit more zoom on busy junctions.

It sips battery and runs fine on older phones, which makes it an easy recommendation for a quiet evening. Don't expect deep challenge; expect to lose an hour without noticing.
